Wayne joined First Community Development after a lengthy career in the telecommunications industry. After graduating from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with a Civil Engineering degree, Wayne began a thirty year career with communication companies that carried him to Indiana, California, Washington and finally Atlanta, Georgia, as a “Technology Solutions Specialist” with Verizon. Wayne “retired” from a planning, solution analysis and project direction area of expertise to pursue community service through his church and in support of his kids, the last of whom is a high school senior in Marietta, Georgia.

 Among Wayne’s accomplishments…GTE Customer Networks 1996 President’s Outstanding Achievement Award…Founding President of the Lassiter High School Academic Booster Club…Global Outreach Team of the North Metro Church.

 Wayne brings an extraordinary background of communications and project management to First Community. Thoughtful, quite spoken, a good listener, Wayne makes you feel right at home whether he is working for you as a fundraising professional or working with you as a volunteer in one of our campaigns. Either way, he is someone you enjoy working with and getting to know.

 Married to Nancy, Wayne is the father of four and the grandfather of one. He and his wife live in Marietta, Georgia.
