Dan joined First
Community Development after a unique path through education,
advertising, entertainment and consulting. He has
worked raising funds for the Disciples of Christ and the
United Methodists and has worked growing companies
throughout the United States. His clients have ranged
from non-profit to some of the largest, privately-held
businesses in the country.
Starting in
education as a high school band director, Dan moved into
product management for a Fortune 200 company and, later,
developed and implemented the advertising strategies of a
division of RCA. Since those early days Dan has been
involved in the production of 12 Broadway musicals, over 45
major feature films and has consulted, creating marketing
strategic and projects for companies in the logistics,
medical device and acoustical control industries. He
has also worked with numerous non-profit organizations in
Maryland, Tennessee, Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin in
successful fundraising efforts.
He has been an
adjunct professor at Belmont University, a guest lecturer at
Indiana University's Ernie Pyle College of Journalism and a
consultant with the Kelley School of Business at Indiana
University. He has also lectured to businesses and
organizations throughout the United States and coached many
executives in presentation skills. Dan graduated from
the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Music Education
and from the Owen Graduate School of Management at
Vanderbilt University with his MBA.
