Dan joined First Community Development after a unique path through education, advertising, entertainment and consulting. He has worked raising funds for the Disciples of Christ and the United Methodists and has worked growing companies throughout the United States. His clients have ranged from non-profit to some of the largest, privately-held businesses in the country.
Dan has been a high school band director, a marketing executive with a Fortune 200 company and has implemented marketing strategies for RCA, Cook Medical, OHLogistics and many small businesses. Dan has also been involved in over 12 Broadway musicals, over 45 major feature films and 8 television shows, including Saturday Night Live. He has also worked with non-profit organizations in Mississippi, Georgia, Maryland, Tennessee, Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin in successful fundraising efforts.
He has been an adjunct professor at Belmont University, a guest lecturer at Indiana University’s Ernie Pyle College of Journalism and a consultant with the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. He has also lectured to businesses and organizations throughout the United States and coached many executives in presentation skills. Dan graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Music Education and from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University with his MBA.
